Biting Back NYC

Biting Back - Art for a Good Paws is excited to announce our 2nd animal fundraiser art show! This year’s event will once again be conveying the message for the love of animals and reminding people to Adopt Don’t Shop! All proceeds raised during the event will be donated to Second Chance Rescue NYC. Their mission is to reduce animal overpopulation in shelters, rescue and rehabilitate critically injured and neglected animals and connect the community to services that enable animals to remain in their homes. They do a lot for our community, and now we’d like to give back to them.

Dilly Kapitan (RIP December 2018)

2019’s Biting Back is dedicated to the memory of Dilly Kapitan (RIP December 2018). Dilly was Eliza’s West Highland Terrier muse and a rescue pup. Eliza adopted Dilly from Westie Rescue of New York in 2008. Dilly was the subject of Eliza’s piece from Biting Back #1 and her best friend for 10 years. Not only was this adorable Westie a source for creative inspiration, but she was one of the driving forces behind the passion for Biting Back’s conception. This perfect little pooch was proof that Adopt Don’t Shop is the way to go.
